THE Experience

Working with me

When you choose me as your photographer, it’s not just about the images you’ll receive, it’s about how the day feels while they’re being made.

I’m there to keep things calm and steady, so you can stay present with the people around you. No forced moments. No unnecessary pressure. Just honest documentation of your day as it unfolds.

If you’re feeling camera-shy (which most people are), I’ll guide you gently when needed and step back when it matters. The goal isn’t perfection, it’s truth.

Photographs that feel like you, and like the day itself.

Not every wedding follows the same shape, and that’s exactly how it should be.

Every smaller celebration includes:

– A carefully edited online gallery

If you’re unsure what you need, tell me about your plans and we’ll shape something that fits.

Testimonials

Would recommend to everyone. So relaxed and calm but able to coordinate everyone for photos at my wedding in December 2025. Absolutely adore my wedding photos and feel Abbie is very reasonably priced for her work. Thank you Abbie!

not sure if documentary photography is right for you?

There are many ways to photograph a wedding and not all of them feel the same.

I’ve put together a short, honest guide to help you understand what documentary wedding photography really means, and whether it’s the right fit for your day.

If you’re drawn to natural moments, honest photographs and a calm, unhurried approach, this will help you decide.

FAQ

How do we book you?

Simply fill out the contact form with a few details about your plans. I’ll reply with availability and next steps. Your date is secured once a contract is signed and a deposit is received. From there, we’ll arrange a consultation to talk through your day and make sure everything feels considered and calm.

Do you photograph elopements and smaller weddings?

Absolutely. Intimate weddings and elopements often hold some of the most personal moments. Coverage can be shaped around your plans, whether that’s a short registry ceremony or a day in the Highlands with just a few of your closest people.

Do you travel?

Yes. I’m based in the North East of Scotland and regularly travel across Scotland and beyond for weddings and elopements. If your plans take you somewhere meaningful, I’m always happy to discuss travel arrangements.

Will we receive preview images after the wedding?

Yes. A small selection of carefully edited images will be shared shortly after your wedding day, so you can relive a few moments while your full gallery is being prepared. Your complete gallery will be delivered within 6-8 weeks.

Do you work alone or with a second photographer?

Most weddings are documented by me alone. For larger celebrations, or if you would like coverage of both of you getting ready in different locations, a second photographer can be included. This allows more of the day to be documented naturally.

We’re nervous in front of the camera — is that a problem?

Not at all. Almost every couple tells me this at first. You don’t need to know how to pose or what to do. I’ll guide you gently when needed and step back when it matters. The goal is never to make you perform — it’s to make you feel comfortable enough to be yourselves.

How do you handle family photographs?

Family photographs are important, and I approach them with care and organisation. Before your wedding, we’ll create a short group list to keep things efficient and relaxed. On the day, I’ll guide everyone through calmly so you can return to celebrating as quickly as possible.

How long will you be there on the day?

Most full-day celebrations fall between 8–10 hours of coverage. I typically document the day from preparations through to the dancing. If your plans run longer, additional coverage can always be added.
