I’m Abbie, a wedding photographer based in the North East of Scotland.
I’m drawn to the quiet, meaningful moments. The ones that aren’t planned, but somehow become the most important. The steady glances. The deep breaths. The way you instinctively reach for each other.
When I’m not photographing weddings, you’ll usually find me outdoors with my other half, Ross, and our dog, Boss, walking coastal paths, chasing fresh air, and slowing things down a little.
That slower pace is important to me. It’s how I see the world. And it’s how I photograph it.
how did i get here?
Photography has been part of my life since I was sixteen, when I was given my first DSLR for my birthday. I didn’t just fall in love with taking photos, I fell in love with what they held. Memory. Feeling. A moment that would never happen in quite the same way again.
For a while, life pulled me in other directions. The camera sat on a shelf as I worked different jobs and quietly wondered if I’d ever come back to it.
It took my little sister getting engaged to change everything. She asked me to photograph her and her fiancé, and I remember feeling nervous but the moment I picked up the camera again, I knew.
One session turned into another. Then another. And slowly, this became more than something I loved. It became what I was meant to do.

I won’t turn your day into a production.
I’ll be there, present, attentive, and calm. Documenting the moments as they unfold. The laughter, the nerves, the unexpected tears, the way your people gather around you.
You don’t need to worry about posing perfectly. You just need to be in it. The best photographs happen when you feel comfortable enough to forget I’m there.

As Memories in Motion has become part of the experience I offer my couples, my sister Adele now joins me at selected weddings to capture those beautiful moments in motion alongside my photography.
Working together allows us to preserve even more of your wedding day, combining heartfelt photography with candid video memories that help you relive every laugh, happy tear and in-between moment.
While Adele captures the footage throughout the day, I personally edit everything to ensure it feels completely in keeping with my style and storytelling approach.
